The Eastern Indonesia Knowledge Exchange (BaKTI) was founded to support development stakeholders to work together and harmonize development efforts, as well as improve the quality of development programs. BaKTI provides significant impacts to the wider development agenda and supports pilot project and replication of development initiatives in accordance with local conditions.

BaKTI launched the Online Knowledge Exchange called batukar.info as a social network providing knowledge and information online. Information about issues in various sectors, including health, education, environment, and gender, in eastern Indonesia can be accessed and exchanged at batukar.info

At batukar.info you can:

  1. Interact with contributors, share ideas, discuss specific topics, and share information by writing opinions or articles about development in eastern Indonesia,
  2. Monitor developments of discussions about specific topics with development stakeholders in eastern Indonesia,
  3. Access information profiles of 12 provinces in eastern Indonesia created by users using a wiki-style approach to ensure information validity
  4. Access specific databases, including directories, reference databases, and site directories, related to development activities in eastern Indonesia
  5. Access even more information by becoming a member  

Become a member to interact with eastern Indonesia development stakeholders, exchange knowledge and information through articles, opinions, blogs, and by collaborating with the networks and groups. You will also be able to receive updates via email to ensure you always stay up-to-date with information regarding development in eastern Indonesia.
